Karen Godissart
music director
Karen is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College with degrees in Elementary Education and French and a music minor. After graduation, she traveled for three years with Re-Creation, performing in VA hospitals, schools, and churches all across the country. It was during this time that she was called to be a pastor’s wife and church music director. John and Karen married in 1999 and are parents to 5 amazing kids. Karen has served as church music director in Renovo, McConnellsburg, Hollidaysburg, and now at The Well. She completed 2 years at Global Celebration School of Supernatural Ministry. After homeschooling for 10 years, she began as music and French teacher at Great Commission Schools, where she also serves as music director for the school musicals.
In her “spare time”, Karen loves to be at home on the farm, dreaming, creating, working on projects, and doing whatever needs to be done. She keeps busy making soaps, lotions, lip balms, and other items for her business, Godissart in Mission. She has many life verses, including Psalm 139, Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 61, and Ephesians 3:20. God is so AMAZING!!!
At The Well, music at the 8:30 service is more blended, including both hymns and contemporary music. Prime the Pump songs are usually more quiet contemporary worship, allowing for Holy Spirit to move and prepare hearts for worship. And the 10:30 service is contemporary. In the past, Karen has directed both children and adult choirs, and hopes to do so again for special events.
